End of the road for state sponsored higher education?

By ServeSL,

It is true that the Univertiy education system in Sri Lanka is utterly flawed. I am sure that not many will disagree with that statement. The reasons for this are numerous. Being aware of the reasons, what we need to ask is: how can we fix it?

Judging by the turn of events since May 2010, I have come to the bitter conclusion that we may not in fact want to fix it?

Why wouldn't one want to fix our ailing state sponsored univerisity education system? Who would benefit from not doing it?

It is true that what is happening at present is not acceptable to anybody who yield the benefit of community education. Don't give up ServeSL, we have come out from much worse situation in the past. Lets try to correct things for a better/different future.
